Learn about birds, conservation, nature, and more at this free, family-friendly event. Choose from a variety of activities, ride a pontoon boat on the Delta with an experienced junior birder, and watch a raptor show!

Come to 5 Rivers Delta Resource Center for the Bird and Nature Expo on Saturday, October 1, 9am-1pm. Free, fun, and family-friendly, participate in a variety of activities and exhibits hosted by local and state environmental groups, non-profits, and other agencies. Experience a raptor show, touch tanks, and how to build birdhouses. Learn about conservation and bird habitat, have opportunities to buy goods from local vendors, and more! Food trucks will be onsite.

New this year is not only the more centrally located venue to encourage participation from both sides of the Bay, but also, three FREE 1-hour boat tours! Boat tours depart from 5 Rivers, cruise around the bend to Meaher State Park, then back to 5 Rivers. Pontoon boat tours will be led by Mason Currier, a junior birder, who leads birding tours for young birders in Coastal Alabama. 

Registration encouraged for boat tours to ensure spot. First come first serve basis if not pre-registered:

BOAT TOUR #408-C — 12:30pm-1:30pm

Raptor shows at 10:00am and 12:00pm.
