Floating Cleanup

Fall 2024

Join us on the water for our floating cleanup on Monday, October 21, 2024, from 3:45 pm to 6:00 pm. We are seeking up to 30 volunteers to help clean up Halls Mill Creek. The event will launch from Schwarz Park in Mobile.

We will launch at 4:00 pm, so we recommend arriving about 15 minutes early for the safety briefing led by a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. The cleanup will be a leisurely, hour-long paddle guided by Dr. Mimi Fearn from Dog River Clearwater Revival.

After the paddle, enjoy a cold drink, courtesy of Braided River Brewing, who is kindly donating a few cases of beer for the event. Osprey Initiative will also be supporting the event by collecting all recyclable materials—helping us make an even greater impact!

This is a bring-your-own canoe or kayak event. We hope to see you there!
