Floating Cleanup

From fishing line to tires, trash in our waterways often ends up in those hard-to-reach places along shorelines, places only accessible by water.

The 7th Annual Floating Cleanup

Join us on the water Saturday, October 22 from 9am-noon. We are looking for 20-30 volunteers for this year’s cleanup which will take place at Meaher State Park on the Causeway. There will be no entrance fee to enter the park this day, thanks to our partners at Meaher State Park! Our other partners include Fairhope Brewing, JubileeScape, and Osprey Initiative. Volunteers from the local U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary will provide a water safety briefing.

Stick around after the cleanup to enjoy a cookout and beverages!

This is a bring-your-own canoe or kayak event. SALT and Osprey Initiative will have limited canoe rentals available for those without a vessel. When filling out the SignUp form, please indicate if you will need a rental in the comments and we will try to accommodate you on a first come first serve basis.
