South Alabama Land Trust Photo Contest now open

Do you want to see your photo on the cover of The SALT Line magazine? Do you have a knack for capturing great photos of nature and people in nature? Then you won’t want to miss the South Alabama Land Trust Photo Contest.

One Best in Show and eight first place winners will be featured throughout the year in The SALT Line. Best in Show, as well as first, second and third place winners in each category will be featured on the South Alabama Land Trust website and on social media.

The deadline for entries is 5 p.m. on November 1.

This contest is for images of Gulf Coast habitats, wildlife (fauna), plants (flora), and people in nature. There are two divisions—juniors (16 and under), and adults. First, second, and third place winners will be selected in each of the four categories in each division.

This is a digital photo contest (digital images submitted electronically for commercial print publication). Prints are not accepted. All images must be submitted through South Alabama Land Trust’s digital platform at: Photo Contest guidelines and submission.

The categories are:

    • Flora: plants, trees, shrubs, flowers, etc.
    • Fauna: animals, insects, fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, mammals, etc.
    • Habitat: outdoor scene or landscape
    • People in Nature: people recreating or enjoying the coastal resources.

There is no cost for entries. For more information, call 251-990-5004
